Human Resources Business Partner – Lexington

The client company is seeking to employ a Human Resources Business Partner to work alongside their Sales Organization. 

The Human Resources Business Partner aligns company business objectives with employees and management across the Sales organization. The HR Business Partner serves as a consultant to management on Human Resources-related issues while acting as employee champion and change agent. The HR Business Partner assesses and anticipates HR-related needs and communicates proactively with the Human Resources Vice President and management to develop cost effective solutions.  

Job Duties

  • Working with the head of sales and external recruiters, manage the recruiting process for new potential hires
  • Partner with the Head of Sales on closing and hiring new employees, specifically on compensation
  • Take responsibility for and help to design the Sales Induction process
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Ensures managers take ownership for issues to achieve the required results quickly and in line with Company ethics and employment legislation
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Develop terms for new hires, promotions, transfers.
  • Provide guidance and input on department restructures, workforce planning, succession planning.
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs. Follow-up to ensure training objectives are met.

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of 8 – 10 years in the management and resolution of complex employee relation issues, specifically in professional services and/or sales organizations
  • In depth knowledge of applicable legislation
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, diversity, and performance management.
  • Experience in global environments

  • Along with a college degree, preferred candidates will possess SPHR or PHR
